Home Security

Integrated home security for you and your loved ones can be affordable and is certainly well worth the comfort and peace of mind. We work with any home to inspect areas susceptible to intrusion and help you choose the right security posture to minimizing risk and promote a safe living environment.

Security Tips to Consider...
Deadbolts:

Use of a sturdy ANSI Grade 1, bump proof deadbolt on every exterior door. If any doors have windows within reach, also install a floor lock/frame brace, and/or clear and resistant security film on the windows.

Motion-Activated Floodlights:

Install motion-sensor floodlights around the perimeter of your home, and make sure and ensure their bulbs are in good, working condition. Additionally, have automated lighting systems on timers to deter burglaries when you travel for extended periods of time. Our personal recommendation is Lutron.

Sliding Doors:

Sliding or track doors require a solid bar or dowel in their tracking system to prevent a break-in. This bar should measure almost the exact length of the track (within 1/4″ of the total length).

Spare Key:

Do not store your spare key under a rock or on the door frame – thieves know all about these hiding spots. Either give your key to a trusted neighbor or install a small combination safe somewhere on your property.

Window Security Film:

In the information age even burglars are becoming a lot more educated with products like carbide tipped tactical pens made to break glass in an emergency. Strong security films make a window nearly impossible to breach. When a window is broken with any security film it is significantly harder to get through it. This increases the time it takes to make entry requiring much more force, strength, noise, and time.

Visible House Number:

In case of emergency, your house number should be clearly visible from the street. Consider using reflective numbers or installing a light over the area. Your home needs to be identified easily in the dark. This deters theft and helps overall safety because EMS and law enforcement can identify quickly.
